The 1930 George V Threepence is part of the final period of circulating silver threepence production before the denomination transitioned to brass in 1937. Struck in sterling silver (.925), the 1930 issue carries the distinctive oak‑leaf and acorn reverse, making it visually and historically distinct from the Maundy‑style crowned‑numeral type.
