A handsome milled silver crown of Charles II dated 1673, struck during the Restoration period and bearing the king’s third laureate and draped bust right with the Latin legend CAROLVS II DEI GRATIA. The reverse shows the classic crowned cruciform shields around the central Garter star, divided date above, and legend MAG BR FRA ET HIB REX, with the regnal year spelled out on the edge.
