- Historical Detail: Issued in 1887 to mark Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee, this silver double florin represents one of the most distinctive and short-lived denominations in British coinage. Known colloquially as “The Barmaid’s Ruin” due to its similarity in size to the crown, it was minted for only four years.

- Obverse: Features the Jubilee Head portrait of Queen Victoria, crowned and veiled, designed by Sir Joseph Edgar Boehm.
