This elegant bronze medallion commemorates the coronation of King George IV on 19 July 1821, one of the most lavish royal ceremonies of the Regency era. Designed by the celebrated Italian engraver Benedetto Pistrucci, this medallion was struck by the Royal Mint and remains one of the finest examples of early 19th-century medallic art.

Features a laureate bust of George IV, facing left, in ultra-high relief. The king is depicted in classical style, with finely detailed hair and drapery.
